Summary

NYU Langone Health’s Data Management and Architecture team is responsible for data architecture, data management, data governance solutions and big data solutions using Hadoop and AWS. The healthcare data engineer will be a key member of this team, responsible for data engineering and user support for big data solutions primarily focused on Cloudera Hadoop and AWS. The data engineer must have strong hands-on technical skills in SQL, Unix scripting, data/application interfaces (e.g. REST API), Java and Python, big data experience and some experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Job Responsibilities

  •  Analyze data sources for data discovery, data quality and data processing
  • Design, develop and support data engineering and integration applications using various tools and frameworks as required
